Superpolator ME ;)
March 5, 2007
Superpolator is the tool for interpolating on multiple axes with several masters while enjoying the animated instances and visually choosing your interpolated type.
Erik van Blokland introduces this superb software that helps type designer create their type families with ease and fun. Instead of only using Robofab and Python script in Fontlab for interpolating, now you can use Superpolator. You only need the make your fonts as UFO and important them to Superpolator. And then enjoy the creation of your font family from your masters.
You can read more about Superpolator on Erik’s website.
As for the ME thing, last week Erik asked me to test drive the software and I just liked it. I actually have fallen in love with it. It is a superb tool and fun to use. But then I noticed that it did not support ‘Right to Left’ script direction in order for me to be able to view my Arabic fonts correctly in the preview window. So I asked Erik if he can add this option, and just after few hours he sent me a new version of Superpolator with the Right to Left ME button. That is great. J
